Can you believe it? Did you hear? I'm going to be the next 2nd grade teacher at Holy Cross next year!!!!!!!!! I/we are soooooo happy!!!! Let me rewind a bit. My Rumsey principal shared that I would be going to 3rd grade... did the research, ordered supplies.... 3 weeks later, I was then going to 4th grade teacher. I'm a primary teacher!!! I love the littles and feel that from the bottom of my heart is where I belong. So... I did some research... I knew of a 2nd grade opening at HC..., but knew there would be lots of applications. Mike and I did some finance, retirement, and health care research... he typed up my resume while I dictated the sentences or bullet points. Mike has been WONDERFUL! He rearranged his schedule to pick up the kids and basically take over for the week while we got everything in order. So... here's how it went. I call my HC principal last Monday... she said let's just chat this week sometime. She said don't worry about bringing a resume or anything. So I went to see her on Wednesday night with my bag of my teacher goodies... resume not done yet... but ready to see about what God has in store for me. 45 minutes later... with genuine tears in both of our eyes... she said... I'd be a fool not to offer you a job! I wasn't expecting a job offer!!!! Wow!!!! What an incredible feeling! As I skipped home... Mike and I discussed... and Thursday I took the job!!! I then typed up my resignation letter and handed it to Troy on Friday morning! (Have I slept or eaten this week... NO!) He was stunned. But things weren't right at Rumsey... and I never want my spirit to be crushed. Hard hard decision. I've been at Rumsey Station for 17 years! But... I'm so over the moon for teaching young kiddos...and it's time for a change. I'm really just putting all of this in the Lord's hands. He truly guided me... and I'm forever thankful!!! Now... It's was sooooo hard to tell Nikki, Jeff, Kammie, and Shannon... my hallway besties... but they are soooo happy for me... and know that this is best for my family! I then had to tell my students and my families at Rumsey! The out-poor of LOVE is soooo very humbling! Lots of tears and lots of hugs! Lots of... NOOOOOO'S! Then my new principal posted my new news in the Falcon Flyer... that's when we could FINALLY tell Mallory and William! The Holy Cross community is soooooo specatcular... I wish I could share all the text, instant messages, and Facebook notes that I've received! Again... WOW! I'm so touched and am truly feeling loved! The word is official... I will.. with honor and lots of pride... return to my grade school to be the new 2nd grade teacher!
GOD IS GOOD!
Can't wait for my new adventure at my new school!
