Zoo Day!

It was a BEAUTIFUL day to be at the zoo... we love that today was almost 70 degrees and we spent most of it outside! Now if we could convince the weather guy to let it go above 40 this whole week... we'd be in business.  But, oh well... it is Nebraska after all!
Yes...we love to observe the animals all while pretending to be baseball players... tball season is fast approaching. ya know!

My 3 sweeties!!!!

The Hochstein's joined us at the zoo... and it was incredible! We LOVE them and we are so glad they are back from the Mayo Clinic... and from being out of town for over 30 days... yeeesh! Too long!  We did seee them last week for a bit... but today was quality time! It was the best!

Mike and I were "fighting" over who got to hold Brilyn... it was cute!

Japanese Spider Crab...

Look at these monkeys... adorable!

Sea Turtles are one of our favorites...

The gorillas were really active and continued to pound on the glass!

Waiting to ride our 1st choo choo train! Mallory and William were soooo excited!

The Gauer...

The Rhino... he or she was "trotting". It was funny...

We had another marvelous day at the zoo... God continues to bless us with so much! Choo! Choo!

Ice Cream, Projects, and Dan's 40th!

Friday, the twins and I went to ice cream after school.  We earned 20 stickers for our sticker station.... our first reward... they wanted to go to the ice cream shoppe... a.k.a... Dairy Queen to get Oreo Blizzard.  Now we are earning 30 stickers to go to The Rose Theater to see Leo Lionni! The twins love earning stickers... they both try hard to "outdo" each other... so for now... this has been really fun!

We also have a few house projects going on.... we have doors to fix and faucets and couple of bumps in the carpet that need stretched... so far... one door done... 2 screen doors to go.  Jay, our buddy, is a great fix-it friend to have around! Plus we get to hang out with Melissa and the kids! Mike and Jay are the hardest workers!

This next picture is of me, Ayanna, Dan, and Kelly actually at Dan's 30th... The Golden Girls are always having great times together!

Here we are 10 years later... not too terribly wrinkly yet.  LOL! Happy 40th, Danny Boy!

Seriously... we have the BEST of friends!

Here I am photo bombing Dan, Zach and Dan's twin brother, Tom! I had some help with Tom's wife and Aaron!

GSA... Mike and Dan call themselves the "Gay/Straight Alliance"!

Love my DB!

Hilarious and fun times! We had the best time celebrating Dan and his 40th!!!!!!!

March Memories!

March brings to mind sooooo many memories! Good and bad! So where to start... where to start? From wedding anniversaries, to babies being born, birthdays, to death anniversaries.  This month brings my heart to smiles and tears all at once.  I also find myself reflecting  more! I do continue to be so very thankful, but God's plan is a mystery. I just keep thinking and praying... trust in God's plan.  Not that I don't think about all this daily or am not thankful daily... but March brings my emotions to all new levels.  LOL!

Starting on a happy note...  I married my best friend on March 25, 2006!

The twins were born on March 16th, 2009!  I know I just posted this picture, but it is my favorite! The look on Mike's face is forever what I see in him now with our Mallory and William! He's an amazing Dad!

My Dad and Mom also married on March 17th.

My dad passed away 3 years later on March 19th.

I then posted these next pictures... not that they had a birthday in March or passed in March... but because I want to remember them and show my babies all these wonderful people who made me who I am... they are angels whom I wished were at my wedding or at my babies' birth... and sometimes that is a lot to swallow... but I know they are watching out for us! They were there... in spirit. There are also pictures of people who are here now, whom I love with all my heart and am so grateful for the love they give me and my family!

 My Grandpa Herrley!

Grandma Herrley!

Uncle Dan!

Grandma Zook and Grandma Herrley!

Great Grandma Zook!

Beautiful Aunt Debbie! Now she does had a birthday in March! (I just finished writing out her bday card!) I love this picture of her! I love how Scotty is hugging her so tight!  Scotty is an angel... he was taken from our family far too soon.  He was 29.

My Dad's siblings.. before Uncle Ken passed away on March 18th. Aunt Debbie and Uncle Mike are the 2 siblings here with us... One day I'll write the funny thing that Aunt Debbie says about Uncle Mike... A.K.A. as Uncle Kracker!  LOVE my aunts and uncle so much!

Uncle Ken!

Grandpa Zook!

Love my cousins, Matt and Scott!

Now this part of the post is for Aunt Fran.... she had a pacemaker put in this week... and she has a mass on her heart!  We have been doing extra extra prayers with her.  I really wanted to jump on a plane this week to be with my Zook family!  I/we miss them terribly, horribly!

Now, I couldn't forget to post about my twin nieces, Erin and Emma... they were born March 24th.

I love these next two pictures!

I guess I can only end this post with this... GOD BLESS! LOVE YOU! HUGS AND KISSES TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!
