Twins Newspaper Article!

So... after we spent the afternoon in the park last Sunday, I had many aunts saying we should let the Omaha World Herald know about our fun twin family fun. As I've been told... I'm suppose to listen to my elders.. so I sent the OWH 2 sentences about our family gathering, and they quickly returned my e-mail with a follow up phone call and interview.  I then sent in the photo... and ta da... today, Saturday, September 29th, the article published!  Mike and I continue to be proud parents and are just so lucky to be surrounded by such great family!  Double Blessings is an understatement!

No Pull Up Party!

Mallory and William have been doing so great at wearing underwear, that Miss Lori hosted a" No Pull Up Party" for our twins!!! Mallory wanted a Toy Story party... and William wanted a "Bad Guy" party. The "bad guys" are actually "good guys"... they are the Avengers!  I'm learning so much about little boys and their "play"... I need to do more research on names and practice my "boy noises" though.   It's so wonderful this day came!  It's been a long haul potty training twins. Some days in the last 6 months or longer have felt like I have spent all day in the bathroom.  (So, they still wear pull ups at night, but it's a terrific start! Mike and I will take it!) Miss Lori  has done such a super job at helping Mallory and William!  We are so grateful for the support!!!

Check out all the cool things we did at the party... so glad I work 2 seconds away.  I was able to be apart of the big event... and Mallory & William couldn't wait to fill Daddy in on their special day once we got home!

So have you noticed I've never posted about potty training... I just couldn't risk the jinx! LOL! I hope I didn't mess up... Hee-Hee-Hee! I have so many pictures of them on the potty... I even captured William's first poop in the potty. I think someone needs to take the camera away from me... My mom says... I'm my dad's daughter when I have my camera! ;) Don't worry... I won't post the poopy pictures!

Okay... Okay... back on topic... the party...We love seeing Mallory and William with their friends!  It's a cutie pie group!

We love you Miss Lori!  Thank you for spoiling us! (She even bought Mal and Will gifts!) It's funny because even though William and Mallory knew it was their "No Pull Up Party" day... Mallory asked me tonight is she is 4?!  I so enjoy the innocence of children!

More Soccer and Dance Fun!!!

Soccer Fun!!!

Some much better soccer footage than last week videos... :)

Getting Ready For Dance Fun!!!
Mallory had a WONDERFUL time at dance this week... no tears and she participated with lots of smiles!  She told me she wants to do dance all the time!  I'm very happy and proud that she had an amazing time!  I think it helped that I just took Mallory by herself and William had time with Mi-Ma! (Daddy was at work...) I/We are very tickled that our kiddos are starting to find themselves ...Gotta love twins!!!

Cherishing First Moments and A Terrific Week-End!

William and Mallory's First Soccer Day!
William and Mallory  had a BLAST at soccer this past week-end!!! William even scored two goals against his sister! Mallory had the good kick concept, she just kicked it too far and in the wrong direction. William kinda got his goals by chance, but it's all about having fun and the experience! It really was so funny watching 3 year olds trying to get a sports concept.  Wait.. I should back up... they did cry when they did a drill of running past the coaches.  The coaches were pretending to be bears, and our twins were not fond of someone they didn't know trying to chase them.  I know they will be fine next week.  Plus, our buddy Logan will be back in town and our team!  Yeah!!!!

Soccer Drill Practice Video...

Me Attempting to Video and Cheer on the Twins Video... I didn't do great at all, but this video was so funny to me, that I had to post. It made me laugh and laugh? Was I even looking though the lens?  I will try and do better next time... or maybe I'll just let Mike video. ;)

Mallory's First Dance Class!
As you can see in this first picture above, Mallory was super duper excited to go to dance... She kept asking... can we go to dance now?!!  Can we go to dance now?!! (Quick side note... can you believe... my Mallory is going to dance just like her Mommy use to... And at the same place! So many emotions!)  So back to the caption... once she got there, she was a little unsure what to do without her twin brother and Mommy.  Mal Mal is very use to her twin and Kindermusik.  We always got to stay with the kids at Kindermusik, so I'm sure it was confusing even though we talked about it.

As you can see in the picture below, she is looking a little worried.  There were tears, but she made it through said Miss Lisa.  She did stop crying, but didn't do a lot of participating.... Funny because as soon as she got home... she stripped her leotard off,  put only her tutu back on with her ballet shoes and asked... When I am going back to dance, Mommy?  She then told me she cried, but she stated, she wants to do "more" dancing next time.  I'm so very grateful for Miss Lisa, Miss Maddie, and her new best bud, Miss Mikayla!  What a wonderful and positive environment for Mallory!

Here below is Mallory's ballet friends... lucky for us we know them both.  The little lady on the left is Miss Brooklyn.  Brooklyn is Miss Lisa's daughter and Mike and I's Goddaughter.  The little lady on your right is my dance teacher, Micki's granddaughter, Miss Jenna!  So adorable and cute are they!!!!

As I did when I was the dance teacher with many parents, Miss Lisa shooed me away once the tears started with Miss Mallory... Soooo... William and I had quality time in the car!  We are brainstorming all the things we can do together while Mallory's at dance... I do enjoy my one on one time with my kiddos!

We just cherish these times...  these smiles... these moments! Here are just a few more pictures from the week-end.  Here we are getting ready to go to the Holy Cross Festival.  We got to play a few games and do the bounce house. We saw so many people that we know!  It was a really great time! We even ran into our daycare buddy, Max!  What a busy, but incredible week-end!

We can't forget how we rooted for the Huskers this past Saturday too... Even though we lost, we will always cheer for our Go Big Red team! (Few... I think we might need a week-end from our week-end! Hee-Hee-Hee!)

One last picture... it was also Grandparent's Day this past Sunday...  Mallory and William love to read with Mi-Ma! We love Mi-Ma so very much!!!  And we love seeing our Mallory and William with their Mi-Ma!

Pre-School Story Time at Rumsey!

Life doesn't get any better than to catch a glimpse of our twinners at Rumsey during Pre-School Story Time! I had some mom spies go into the library and send me some pictures of Mallory and William. Plus, Miss Lori took a few pics too!  (We have the BEST daycare!!!)  We continue to be so proud of the opportunities life brings for Mallory and William!  We are blessed... blessed... blessed!

After Mallory and William listened to stories, and made some art... they got to go to my school playground and see my students. (I happened to be at recess with my 2nd graders...) They got to swing, slide, and play!  Thank you, Miss Lori for providing all of this for our twins!

We LOVE Go Big Red Day!!!

We do LOVE Go Big Red Day!
Lots of fun family time... along with Daddy's football "tips" for William and Mallory!

During half time, we headed to the Hochstein's for Dalan's 5th Birthday Party!  Nicole and Matt always know how to throw a party!  We had a GREAT time!!!

You should see this cake up close, it looks like popcorn.  Nicole is just too cute and clever!
Happy Birthday, Dalan!
