Today, with the day off... we headed to the movies with Mi-Ma! We saw Rio 2... and it was adorable! We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our time with Mi-Ma! She always lets us play a few games, too!
Go Mallory!
We even got the Rio 2 book and two "Blues". And now for the funny five-year old story alert: Since it's a beautiful day... we were playing the front yard, flying our new birds around. And... yes, Mallory's macaw ended up on the roof. Thank goodness our neighborhood had his ladder out and saved the day! Whew... another close one!
Here we are at Miss Lori's for an Egg-stra SPECIAL Easter Egg Hunt! It's one of our last activities with Miss Lori and friends before the summer gets here and the twins enter kindergarten. I really can't even type the words about what I'm feeling... such bitter-sweet. I seriously had a few moments about it before the day started. Miss Lori, her helpers, and friends are such wonderful people in our lives... I seriously am tearing up again. We just feel soooo blessed!!!!
This is my new favorite picture of the week... check out Mallory's hair! Sweet!
William hugging his other best buddy, Kyler!
Thank you, Miss Lori for all of these beautiful memories!!!! We love you!!!!!!!!!
Decorating eggs is a great tradition in our house... I love seeing Mallory and William so happy to be just dying Easter Eggs! They think it's the coolest to see the tablets dissolved into a bright color!
The finished product!!!!
We also filled lots of eggs for Miss Lori's and for Kelly and Dave's house! We are super excited for Easter Sunday!
I forgot to post a few pics from last weeks 2nd grade program... my Loftus trio came to see my 2nd graders sing. It was a lot of fun! The twins think they are a tad famous, because all my students know who they are... it's cute! Plus, Mallory and William got to see their buddies from daycare... Jadon and Tanner! Good stuff!
Last night, we attended a wedding. One of Mike's buddy, Pat, from High School got married. It was a nice little sweet, wedding for a nice couple!
William wanted to wear his suit all day... he loves his suit!
Tonight we went to see, Leo Lionni's Frederick at The Rose Theater! We met up with the Lawler's! It was soooooo super fun... and sooooo super cute! What a great Friday night spent with family and friends!
BONUS! We ran into Micki, my dance teacher/mentor, her hubby, Gary and their two grandkids! Such an adorable picture! I even get to go to breakfast with Micki this week-end! I just LOVE her to pieces! She is truly an inspiration to me... I thank God every day that she was put into my life!
What a special night! The Rose Theater is always a hit!
This Storm Chasers girl did a great job of being brave at the doctor and even did fine at the lead and cholesterol blood draw... but when the band-aid leaked blood, she had a melt-down, which resulted in her screaming and crying a lot for her 2 shots. Bless her heart. She even cried so hard it made me tear up. I hate to see my babies hurt or sad or scared. And... yes, she was a tad mad at me. I was the one to hold her down and Mike had William! She kept telling me that the doctors were boring and she never was coming back. We shared that doctors are a place filled with people who keep us safe and make us feel better. Mallory is 44.13 inches tall (79th percentile) and 43 pounds (72nd percentile).
This Storm Chasers boy was also brave and did a great job at the doctor! As he has reminded his sister many times today... he didn't even cry at all. Oh, the competition begins! It's funny because, Mike and I both guessed that William would spaz out, because he was the most nervous when we quick talked about it this morning... but he did the best. Go figure. Our little Billy Boy is 41 inches tall (28th percentile) and 36 pounds (16th percentile).
Poor Daddy had to go back to work... so we asked Matt if he wanted to join us! So "Uncle" Matt joined... and we all had soooooo much fun!
Right away as we were sitting there... a player leaned over and gave William a baseball! Our son was and is still grinning from ear to ear! He even has the ball in bed with him! It was so cute! We had to call Dad right away when the game was over!
Mallory was pretty bummed, and we were going to get a tshirt anyways, so I got her a ball, too! She loved her ball because it had Stormy on it... I think this makes it a win/win! Right?! ;)
Cotton candy made our "owies" feel better!
Thanks again for coming, Matt! We can't wait to go back again!
