Mallory & William's Family Birthday Party!

Happy Almost 4th Birthday to our miracle babies... Mallory and William! Our family birthday party was so much fun... Mi-Ma, Gpa Bob, Mike's brothers, Aunt Jenn, all the cousins... my cousins with their families... and my Aunt La La was there! It was a hoot to watch all the cousins play and be silly! We LOVE family time!

4 Year-Old Photo Shoot!

 We got these pictures taken about 3 weeks ago... and I couldn't get myself to post them... then it makes it real... right?!  Can you believe our babies are going to be 4 in a week?! AHHHHH!!! It can't be! Please, please, please, anyone... slow down time!  It is  "two-riffic" to see our Mallory and William getting bigger, smarter, sillier, and more wonderful... it's just so bitter sweet that they are not needing their Mommy and Daddy as much! But from the bottom of our heart... it's blessings all around and we couldn't be more grateful! Thank you, God for these two beautiful miracles... Mallory Antoinette and William Michael!

A "Zoo"per Day!

We had a "zoo"per day at the zoo! It was a balmy 50 plus degrees in Omaha, so we headed to the outdoors to run... and see the animals!  We really missed the zoo... it's been weeks... maybe even months!

We stayed at this part for maybe 20 minutes or so!

Then, we quickly head to the tigers and lion complex... 

the zoo has 5 new baby lion cubs.  They are so cute!

 Finally, we headed to the Gorilla area where William expressed that he doesn't like Gorillas that much today... he has a love/hate relationship for them. He was good as long as I was holding him.
 As for Mallory and I... we loved seeing them again! Side funny note... William's favorite toy animals to play with at home is the... gorillas.  But really...

 It was a "zoo"per day at the zoo! 

We Are Lucky, Lucky, Lucky!

We are soooo lucky! Here are Mallory and William "reading" Little Red Hot. (I love to watch them "read"!!!) Little Red Hot is written by Eric Kimmel... whom I met in 2001 at Rumsey...  And Laura Hulisak Beith is the talented illustrator.  Laura is my dear friend, Beth's sister! I grew up over at Beth's house... and now her sister is a famous illustrator of kid's books... too awesome! In a post about a year ago... we went to one of Laura's book signings... it's just too neat to see Laura collaborating with such amazing authors!  She is just too creative for words.... My twins love the character, Senor Lobo... so do my students! They like the part where Senor Lobo eats the hot pepper pie and shoots like a rocket through the roof!

 We also made Oobleck this week!  Mallory loved being messy!!!  William not so much... he wanted to play worker guys with Daddy... see a few pictures below! 

This is also Mallory's new haircut... she got 2 inches cut off.  What a dolly baby!

William got his hair trimmed too... he is just too adorable... look at this "innocent" face. LOL!

Happy Cat in the Hat Day!

Where did the time go?
Gosh, I just want to squeeze and kiss their adorable cheeks all day long!

 Even though tomorrow is Dr. Seuss' actual birthday, we spent the day celebrating
 the brilliant author with lots of fun activities!

Mallory and William even got to come to Mommy's school for Preschool Story Time again... They read Horton Hears A Who... ate a cute snack... and made elephant hats! (They even took their Horton hats to bed with them!)  I know Mallory looks enthused... but they had an incredible time!  Oh, how we love Miss Lori and how she provides the twins with fun opportunities!  I also ran into them in the hallway at school... I just have to say... it was awesome! My students love seeing Mallory and William too!

Mallory Wearing Mommy's 1st Costume!

Check out my very 1st dance costume... and Mallory is wearing it! Time to get nostalgic! (See two pictures below!) Mallory is even getting ready for her very first recital to happen just around the corner! And guess what color her costume is going to be???  Yip... blue! I wonder what Mallory will think of being on stage... my guess... I think she might just stand there.  Can you believe it?  We have a shy daughter at times...
